From Local suppliers to your table fresh

We specialize in Mediterranean cuisine, with an increasing Spanish influence brought about by Nick and Julies' love for the tapas of Andalucia. All our meat, fish and vegetables are bought from local suppliers and cooked to order on a traditional charcoal grill. The food comes straight from the grill to the table; fresh, healthy, colourful and delicious. We have a range of salads and dips which are made to exclusive Bar Azita recipes Our chef Eduard has been with us for many years, making sure the food is consistently cooked to the highest quality. He and the team are always sourcing new recipes to fill our specials boards.

Our story

Bar Azita is a family run restaurant owned by Nick & Julie Pike. After living in Spain for 5 years they returned in 2007 to take over Bar Azita. They wanted to create an independent local restaurant that captured the laid back, Mediterranean style of eating. The concept was so popular that in 2012 they added to the success with the opening of a tapas and cocktail bar in the adjacent premises. Our speciality is charcoal gilled food that is healthy and simple. The dishes have various influences from across the Mediterranean, from the olive groves of Greece to the tapas bars of Spain, resulting in an exciting and unusual blend of flavours.

In the restaurant we offer our full Azita menu. You can create your own dining experience by ordering as few or as many dishes as you like in courses or as a meze. Our special deals are available at lunch time and for all tables vacated by 7:30pm. Please note that the restaurant menu can not be served in the tapas bar.
Bar Azita’s tapas bar hosts the best cocktails you’ll find outside of London. Our cocktails are made using classic recipes and some of our own twists. We try to use only the finest ingredients, from fresh juices and handmade purées to our own infused spirits and tinctures. If a requested drink isn’t on the menu, our knowledgeable bartenders would be happy to oblige.

Azita has a lively and relaxed ambience which makes it the ideal party venue.

 

We are happy to accommodate large bookings and our team will be on hand to help you plan your special event to suit your particular tastes and budget.

 

Our party sharing banquet makes for a relaxing and fun evening. We bring you delicious platters of freshly cooked Mediterranean food to share. Everyone can eat as much or as little as they want. It’s a great way to bring friends and family together over a meal.

Bottled Quality

Bar Azita’s wine list is not the biggest, but we’ve made sure it features a range of fantastic wines that cater to all palates. We have placed an emphasis on quality and try to support family run vineyards and smaller producers. Beers are very important to us. We have a selection of great imported beers from the Mediterranean and are particularly proud of our growing Spanish selection. Our managers Rory and Matt have taken a lot of care in their selection of boutique spirits especially chosen for their distinctive characters and flavour.
